Do we need to be Catholic to enrol our child/ren?

No. At Mother of God, we welcome families of all faiths and backgrounds. Our educational practices are inclusive, and we are always happy to chat further if you have any questions.

What are the session and bell times for 2026?

Gates open: 8:30am Classroom open: 8:45am Classes begins: 8:50am

School finishes: 3:10pm Lunch: 10:55am – 40 minutes

Lunch eating time: 11:35 – 15 minutes eating time Recess: 1.30pm – 30 minutes

Snack eating time: 2:00 – 10 minutes eating time

Do students learn another language?

Yes. Students learn Auslan. Auslan (Australian Sign Language) is the native language of the Australian Deaf community, utilising hand shapes, gestures, facial expressions, and body movement to convey meaning.

Learning Auslan benefits students by enhancing cognitive development, improving communication skills, boosting empathy, and fostering inclusivity.

Is there Before and After School Care?

Yes, we utilise the out of school hours service located at Ardeer Primary, one block from Mother of God School. The program is run by TheirCare.

Children who attend the program in the morning are accompanied to school by TheirCare staff and MoGS teachers walk students to the program in the afternoon. Parents drop off and pick up from Ardeer Primary School.
